igaming networking that works
The iGaming industry typically moves southward come March. The month kicks off with the SBC Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a fast-growing event that has firmly established itself as a key tradeshow for both the Brazilian and Latin American iGaming and gambling markets.
March officially marks the start of the LatAm iGaming expo season. Just a month later, the BiS SiGMA iGaming Tradeshow takes place in São Paulo, followed by a string of smaller but noteworthy events organised by CGS, GAT, G&M, and SAGSE across South America.
In parallel, the SPiCE South Asia series — now in its 7th year — is organised by Eventus International in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, NEXT.io hosts its New York City edition, catering to a niche yet high-quality North American iGaming audience. Over in Southeast Asia, the ASEAN Gaming Summit is held in Manila, and Hipther’s Gaming & Tech Summit brings together professionals in Prague, Europe. Notably, SiGMA Africa — previously held in March — has been rescheduled to August, taking place in South Africa.
If the Italian market is among your priorities, keep in mind the ENADA Expo — Italy’s foremost tradeshow dedicated to both the land-based and online betting sectors. The event takes place in Rimini, a charming seaside city on Italy’s eastern coast.
If you really want to understand South America, consider staying in Brazil during the weeks between SBC Summit Rio and BiS SiGMA São Paulo. Immersing yourself in local culture — and observing the region’s unique gambling and sports betting habits — can be invaluable. Having travelled across the region since the early 2000s, I can confirm: no short business trip will truly explain how, where, and why Brazilians (and other Latin American nations) place their bets. If you’re a horse racing enthusiast, March and April also feature two world-class events — the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National. Both attract strong interest from iGaming operators, with various companies organising private trips and networking events around them. Keep your eyes open — and you might even find some favourable odds to go with the business cards.
SBC Events' flagship Latin-American gathering, SBC Summit Rio 2026 runs 3–5 March 2026 at Riocentro in Rio de Janeiro.
