September used to be a shoulder month in the European iGaming calendar—until SBC events launched their Lisbon Summit. This convention has now firmly established itself on the global iGaming calendar alongside ICE Barcelona, G2E Las Vegas, and SiGMA (now held in Rome instead of Malta).
Event ListSBC Summit Lisbon has been warmly embraced by the international iGaming community since its inception. The event stands out not only for its fantastic location—Lisbon is a top-tier destination for food lovers—but also for its impeccable organization. It’s even held in the same venue as Web Summit, one of the world’s most prestigious tech expos.
In addition to SBC Lisbon, September now also hosts a new version of SiGMA. This event replaces the traditional Malta-based SiGMA in November, which has since moved to Italy.
September is also a busy month for Tribal Gaming. TribalNet’s annual conference in Nevada and the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention in Prior Lake, Minnesota are both held during this month.
Several other regional events typically take place in September as well, including the Finnish iGaming Conference in Helsinki, the TES Affiliate Conference in Prague, "Backing the Punt" in Melbourne, Australia, and SPiCE Central Asia in Uzbekistan.
SBC Summit Lisbon is increasingly becoming a strategic meeting point for both European and Latin American iGaming communities. Lisbon’s excellent flight connections in both directions make it an ideal hub. If Latin America is one of your target markets, SBC Lisbon is a must-attend event. Also worth noting: September’s calendar strongly emphasizes two key sectors—Finland, which is in the spotlight due to its upcoming regulatory changes, and Tribal Gaming, an influential force in the North American and global iGaming landscape.
