iGaming Events in February 2025

The second month of the year marks a period of recovery for the iGaming and gambling industry after a busy January dominated by ICE Barcelona. As the dust settles, attention shifts toward more off-beat regions — particularly the Middle East, with SiGMA Dubai, also known as AIBC Dubai. The “AI” and “BC” in the name highlight the event’s focus on artificial intelligence and blockchain, reflecting its more tech-oriented format due to cultural restrictions surrounding gambling in the region.

Meanwhile, another noteworthy convention typically takes place further south — in Africa — the BiG Africa Summit, held in Botswana.

The SiGMA Group is, of course, the organiser behind Dubai’s AIBC convention, while the BiG Africa Summit, now in its 12th edition, is organised by Eventus International. Eman Pulis and Yudi Soetjiptadi are the respective founders of SiGMA and Eventus

Insider Tips

Be sure that your product offer specifically caters for these regions. Both the Dubai and Africa expos focus on specific regions. AIBC Dubai being Middle East and Asia focused, whilst BiG Africa, by Eventus, focuses on the region it implies!

This might come as an obvious suggestion but it takes much more than just an expo visit to understand such regions, and if you are after online casino players in the area be sure to ‘go deep or go home’ if you are to truly offer a great product, e.g. Kenya, together with South Africa and Nigeria are possibly the most advanced in terms of a regulated online gambling industry product offering.
